Whitelion operates the Balga Detached Youth Work Project in WA. Balga Detached Youth Work Project is a non-profit, community based organisation providing support and services to high-risk and disadvantaged young people. BDYWP's Mission is to support young people on their journey towards self-fulfilment and staff provide information, support, advocacy and referral services to make positive changes in the lives of local young people.
Balga Detached Youth Work Project (BDYWP) is a fantastic youth service supporting ‘at risk’ young people to improve their future life opportunities via a diverse range of programs. The majority of young people who access BDYWP are ATSI young people who have vulnerabilities, experience social exclusion, poor educational attainment and family dysfunction. Mike Dixon is the Whitelion WA State Manager.
