Donna before she loses the alcohol yet again

AGM and Kris Kringle

As LaurieG has put his hand up to do the Article on the last meeting of the year it will be nice and short.

Our last meeting for the 2009 year was a mixture of formality and frivolity.

The meeting commenced with the AGM and after the background work of the President and other directors meant the AGM was short and successful. This year there was no need to elect somebody who was not at the meeting!!

After the AGM it was time for the Kris Kringle. Jill read out the rules for the Kris Kringle (a little complex for first timers) and people then selected a number from a "hat". Those with a low number were set for disappointment if they had a present considered useful by others.

Our current President Elect, Doona Thornton, experienced the worst of the "thieves". After selecting champagne and wine on many occasions she was left emptied handed. Don't worry Donna I have plenty of wine if you need some over summer. I can't remember how many times Donna "lost" per present, but it must have been close to 6.

Veronica with "That" book; somehow the title now has the wrong connotations

Harry who pinched the dumbbells, but not for long!

Harry Nesbitt was also a "thief" and stole the dumbbells, but to his anguish they were soon taken away from him. Obviously Western Endeavour is full of fitness fanatics! or maybe it is just the Waist Disposal Challenge changing our perspective on losing weight and getting fit.

Veronica was one of the last to get her Kris Kringle and was unlucky selecting a book that now has an inappropriate title today. I don't know who put this forward as a Kris Kringle, but they deserve to be fined if we find out. Maybe Sergeant Jill will have her detectives on the job.

The Kris Kringle Secret Santa was a success again and I can only wait for next year, or more correctly this year as it is the 1/1/2010. We will have to get use to not being in the naughties and now being a teenager again!!

Once again Meeka had a fantastic selection for Breakfast........many thanks Faye!!
