Under the Tree |
Agnes throws Atli out and does not want him to see their daughter Ása anymore. He moves in with his parents, who are involved in a bitter dispute over their big and beautiful tree that casts a shadow on the neighbours' deck. As Atli fights for the right to see his daughter, the dispute with the neighbours intensifies--property is damaged, pets mysteriously go missing, security cameras are being installed and there is a rumor that the neighbor was seen with a chainsaw. A quick precis of the movie members and partners enjoyed at the Somerville on Tuesday night. It was a perfect evening for being outside...we didn't need blankets or jumpers. Thanks to our meeting organiser Bruce for another interesting movie selection. Picnic time before the movie started |
The early arrivals I won't spoil the movie for anyone who may want to see it however it was definitely a black comedy. There were some very funny moments and many that weren't. I took the moral of the film as being "be nice to your neighbours....give a little so life is more harmonious". If you want to read a review of the film, click here.
