Thank you to all club members for your strong support of the High Tea for Humanity. The High Tea was an outstanding success and has raised significant funds for the support of Mitochondrial disease research and for the Rotary projects that are supported by our Club.
I would like to extend a special thank you to Jane O’Leary for championing this event and for her significant input, and to the Fund Raising committee members for their able support.
An annual major fundraiser and flagship community event was identified as a key feature in the recent club visioning, with the High Tea for Humanity identified as our major fundraising event for 2016. I look forward to the club building on the success of this event in 2017.
As the High Tea was classified as a special club meeting, there will be no club meeting this Tuesday. There is also a special event next week with a visit arranged to the Army Museum of WA in Fremantle.
The next regular meeting is on Tuesday 11th October which is committee meetings followed by our meeting on 18th October, ‘Hat Day’, an opportunity you to wear that special piece of millinery to raise funds for research into mental health. Make sure you bring some extra coins to donate to the cause.
Thank you for supporting the High Tea and making it a great success.
